WOMB

WOMB is a performance piece by Nina Claire that examines how women are valued or devalued based on the condition of their reproductive organs; medically, culturally and sexually. Nina’s personal experience with sexual abuse, infertility and hysterectomy has made her question the very definition of womanhood. In the performance Nina attempts to re-connect with her lost womb, the children she never had, lost pleasures in sexual violence and connect with wood and earth as the universal source of female and masculine power.
